The founder of BlueBridge Digital, Santiago Jaramillo, wrote an article describing how your church can use a mobile site or a mobile app to connect with smart phone users. This is important since even more of your members are likely to carry a smart phone. A Goldman Sachs study predicts that 81% of U.S. cell users will have smartphones by 2015. This reinforces another study, by Mobile App Testing, that shows smart phone users check their phones 150 times a day.
A mobile site focuses on people that are beginning to research information about your church. It’s designed for the browser on a smart phone. The goal it to make it easy to find important information about your church and church activities and events.
A mobile app will provide your members and visitors with a way to become more connected with your church. It can enhance their experience with your community by providing easy access to; bulletins, event calendars, group activities, announcements, and more. App users are looking for an experience and will return again.
